Dr. Erin Fleener and Abby Goerig met nearly a decade ago when Abby was diagnosed with cancer. Bonded by their love for running, kids the same age, and a shared vision, they dreamed of a world where no one would have to worry about how to afford cancer treatment.

In 2024, that dream took shape. Erin teamed up with longtime friend Dr. Craig Borchardt, whose nonprofit expertise helped turn their idea into action. With the support of many generous community members, BCS Fights Cancer was born.

Together, we’re giving the power back to the people—and changing lives one dollar at a time.
